The municipality of Moravičany is establishing an energy community based on a technical and economic
study. Unlike urban communities, sharing here is largely based on consumption in the local
industrial zone, but the municipality also plans to offer cheaper electricity to residents and, hopefully soon,
build a new community power plant.
Study results:
7 PV plants with a total output of 187kWp
Battery storage: 153 kWh
Modeled annual production 195 MWh
Direct consumption in buildings 110MWh (56%)
Sharing with other consumers 78.4 MWh (40%)
The founding members have approved the plan, and the energy community will be officially established in September
2025. The next phase will involve stabilizing the sharing rules, gradually connecting additional
consumption points, and developing new production facilities.
