On Wednesday, 9 September 2026, representatives of the East Bohemian Energy Community (ESVČ) attended a meeting of directors of publicly funded healthcare organisations, representatives of Nemocnice Pardubického kraje, a. s., and the Pardubice Regional Authority. The meeting took place at the Pardubice Region Emergency Medical Service base in Svitavy.

ESVČ representatives introduced participants to the principles of community energy and explained how the East Bohemian Energy Community operates. They outlined how surplus electricity from solar power plants is shared in practice, ESVČ’s role in the system, and what participation involves for regional organisations. They also emphasised that electricity sharing does not require a change of electricity supplier or new investment in energy infrastructure.

A substantial part of the meeting was then devoted to discussion. ESVČ representatives answered specific questions from directors and other participants, providing further details on the practical aspects of joining the community, billing arrangements, administrative procedures, and the further development of electricity sharing across the Pardubice Region.

The meeting thus provided both an introduction to ESVČ’s operations and, above all, an opportunity for open discussion about the potential and benefits of community energy for the region’s healthcare organisations.
