The Ministry of the Environment and the State Environmental Fund of the Czech Republic have announced the KOMUNERG 1/2025 call for proposals to support energy communities. Applications will be accepted from December 15, 2025, to December 31, 2027, with a planned allocation of CZK 1 billion.
Only energy communities are eligible for support, specifically for new renewable sources of electricity, battery storage, and measurement, monitoring, and control systems that ensure the highest possible
local consumption of the energy produced.
Support is provided in the form of a non-repayable grant, a preferential loan, or a combination of both. The maximum support rate is 45% of the GGE for new renewable electricity sources and 30% of the GGE for non-production measures. (GGE – gross guaranteed equivalent = the sum of the grant value and the equivalent value of the preferential loan)
The East Bohemian Energy Community is preparing projects that meet the condition of high local consumption and offers the possibility of participation to municipalities, households, and businesses.
